Keith Lee

Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Lee is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the firm. Prior to founding Feenix, Mr. Lee was a senior partner and Managing Director at H/2 Capital Partners (“H/2”), a $13 billion alternative investment manager in New York. In his role as Head of Capital Markets, he managed the firm’s more than $7 billion of financing and served on H/2’s Investment and Executive Committees. Mr. Lee has over 20 years of experience working with global financial institutions on the buy and sell side. Prior to joining H/2 in 2013, Mr. Lee was a Managing Director and Head of Structured Financing- Americas at UBS Investment Bank. He also held senior positions at Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers in principal funding and investments and as head of US CLO Origination. From 2013 to 2020, Mr. Lee served as an independent board member and was most recently the audit chair of Investcorp Credit Management BDC (ICMB), a publicly traded business development company that makes loans to middle market companies. He earned a BA in Economics and Philosophy from Knox College and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.

Thomas M. Betts

Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Betts is responsible for day-to-day operations and merchant services. Prior to Feenix, Mr. Betts was a Partner at DataWarhorse, a financial technology firm that uses risk management and artificial intelligences to construct and optimize portfolios for investment managers. Prior to DataWarhorse, he served as a Controller & Vice President of Middle Office at Tremblant Capital Group, a $2 billion registered investment adviser managing long/short equity hedge funds, long only funds and managed accounts. Mr. Betts was responsible for all aspects of fund accounting, operations, and risk management at the firm. Prior to Tremblant Capital Group, Mr. Betts was an Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in its Assurance practice concentrating on Alternative Asset Managers. Mr. Betts holds a Master’s in Professional Accounting and a BA in Business Administration from the University of Washington.

Rakesh Chandiramani

Managing Director

Mr. Chandiramani is responsible for Feenix’ equity strategy for hospitality investments, bringing more than 15 years of leadership and operation experience in the sector. Rakesh joined the firm in 2024 (dual role) and full time in 2025. Prior to Feenix, he was the CEO of 10 | Eleven Street Hospitality, the holding company for Vin Sur Vingt (VSV), Jack's Coffee, and Il Fiorista, with locations in New York City, Washington DC and the Hamptons. Since founding VSV in 2011, he’s led the acquisitions of Jack’s Coffee and Il Florista, growing the company to 18 stores and more than 100 team members. In addition to leading Feenix’ equity investment strategy, Rakesh is a senior member of the investments team and contributes to the entirety of Feenix' investment portfolio. Born in Rochester, NY, Rakesh attended the Rochester Institute of Technology, majoring in Finance and graduating with honors. He calls New York City home with his wife and two children. Known for his strong work ethic, transparency, and dedication to hospitality, Rakesh balances his professional ambitions with personal passions, including golfing, skiing, and spending quality time with his family.

Matthew Pilkington

Managing Director

Prior to joining Feenix, Dr. Pilkington co-founded Strategic Credit Concepts, a long / short credit fund with non-market correlated positive returns. Prior to starting the fund, Dr. Pilkington was a Managing Director at Steel Partners, where he ran the trading desk and helped restructure a $2.8 billion open-ended fund into a listed Limited Partnership structure that currently trades on the NYSE. During the global financial crisis, Dr. Pilkington oversaw a $500+ million dollar hedging strategy in addition to managing and trading the firm’s distressed investments portfolio. At Steel Partners, Dr. Pilkington sat on the fund investment committee and also managed his partners’ funds in outside managed accounts, which included unsecured bonds and common equities. Prior to joining Steel Partners in 2008, Dr. Pilkington worked at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg (a Goldman Sachs company), where he led and managed five investment professionals in a $150 million market-neutral special situations strategy. During his career, Dr. Pilkington has invested in numerous industries, including healthcare, biotech, oil and gas, chemicals, industrials, restaurants, telecom, and retail. Dr. Pilkington holds a first-class honors degree in Chemistry (BSc) from Imperial College, London University, UK, and a doctorate in Physical Chemistry (PhD) from Oxford University, UK.
